Just like PinoyCentric and this very blog network, Barangay.ph is all about celebrating Filipino things.
But unlike the broad Philippine culture approach of PinoyCentric, and the many topics discussed from a Filipino perspective under the BBN, Barangay.ph dedicates itself to the ten million Filipinos working away from the motherland. More specifically, it acts a portal to keep them in touch with home.
They’ve got some pretty useful services lined up, all packaged as buildings in a virtual village through the clever use of image mapping. Currently, Barangay.ph is looking for commercial partners to showcase their wares in these virtual buildings. Let’s hope that Barangay.ph is successful in finding takers.
Which is why I’m ending this post with a request: after enjoying the wonderful content of the BBN blogs (check out the RSS feeds on the sidebar), take a look at Barangay.ph and see how you can make their dream of a “Global Filipino village” a reality. Here’s to your artistic way of providing portal services Barangay.ph!
