Last weekend, some of us took a break at Puerto Galera, known for its white sands and 3 hour proximity from Metro Manila. It was a wonderful trip, because the Philippines’ status as a great vacation getaway became apparent: we enjoyed the simple charms, the hospitable locals, and of course, the low prices. No one spent more than Php 4,000.00 for the entire two-day stay.
But White Beach, Puerto Galera isn’t the only tropical paradise that won’t break your bank. There are other places where you can sunbathe on fine sand without spending a fortune. The Pinoy Travel Blog has lots of info on the other beautiful yet bargain beaches of the Philippines.
