Or at the very least a glorified aggregator. But if that were true, dishnetworkblogs.info would give credit to the real author of the congratulatory message to the 2007 PBA winners (see the line starting “Posted by” underneath the post’s title). Not claim it was written by “Nate Berg.”
We always appreciate links. After all, linklove brings in the visitors. And more visitors mean more people get to find out about Filipinos and the Philippines. But we don’t like people who simply snatch our content—even if the source is liberally linked to—and post a snippet of it below an Adsense block. Simply because they don’t contribute anything new to the discussion.

I’ve been getting hit by several splogs lately too. I tried using an anti-leech plugin, but it looked like Google Reader suffered because of it.
What do you do to combat splogs?
I think a good way to combat splogs is to call them out, to publicize their badness. It also helps to not link to the offender, while making the address known. Pretty much what I did with this post.
And since some splogs copy the entire post, word-for-word, you can also try putting a message claiming the post as yours. Like “This post as written by Elber Cruz on drivebyshooter.net.” So that when a splog rips the post, people will see it’s stolen.
hhhmmm… that made me think again about our aggregator at pinoyblogosphere.net
maybe it’s also considered as a splog huh. watchatink?
