Introducing Vista Pinas

leave a response

Say hello to Eugene Alvin Villar (better known as vaes9) and to Vista Pinas! Vista Pinas is actually Tanawing Pinoy 2.0.

Vista Pinas is where Eugene indulges his addiction for maps, making use of Google Maps and Google Earth to create a totally different way of looking at the Philippines and its landmarks. Like that beach resort only for the rich and famous. Or one of our many old churches. And Filipino places around the world.

Better yet, there’s also an embedded map full of markers that represent the locations covered in this blog. Clicking on a maker leads you to the location’s post. You also have a random gallery, and access to the KML file (Keyhole Markup Language) for use in Google Earth and similar programs. How’s that for interactivity?

Subscribe to Vista Pinas to take a tour of the Philippines and other Filipino places from the comfort of your home. Here’s to your technical expertise and creative application Eugene!
